Editorial policy
Bestmovers.info is an independent publisher that verifies US moving companies against federal registration and operating authority records, tracks state moving regulators across all fifty states, and reports federal migration data, publishing all prices as labelled estimates and earning referral fees when readers request quotes.

Who writes this site
Substantive research on Bestmovers.info carries a named author and a named reviewer, each with a profile page stating their role, their remit, and the content they own. Company profiles, federal and trust research, city and state research, cost and route research, and consumer guides are assigned by subject rather than by rotation, so the same page always carries the same people. Policy pages such as this one, our corrections policy, and our editorial standards stay attributed to the organisation: they describe how Bestmovers.info operates rather than reporting a researched subject.
Where our data comes from
- Licensing, authority, and complaint history: the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration SAFER register at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov, cited per company with a direct link to that carrier's record.
- Accreditation and complaint volume: Better Business Bureau company profiles.
- Intrastate licensing rules: the named state agency that regulates household-goods movers in that state.
- Cost ranges: our published pricing dataset, with basis, date range, and source shown under every figure.
- Company facts such as founding year, headquarters, coverage, and services: official company sources.
Why we publish no rating for movers
We do not publish a numeric score, a star value, or a ranked winner for any moving company. A score on a five-point scale reads as a measurement, and the inputs a defensible measurement would need are not available to us for most companies on this site. Instead each profile carries what we can source: federal registration and operating authority, founding year, headquarters, coverage, services, and an estimated price range labelled by scope. What we hold no source for stays blank. The full detail is in our methodology.
Fact-checking
Every published number, licensing claim, and regulatory statement must trace to one of the sources listed above before it goes live. Claims we cannot trace are removed rather than softened. Pages that do not carry enough verified, page-specific facts are excluded from our sitemap and marked so search engines do not index them, while remaining available to readers.
Corrections
If a fact here is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Email corrections through our contact page with the page URL and the source that contradicts us. Substantive corrections update the page and its stored last-reviewed date. Moving companies may request correction of licensing details, coverage, or services; we verify the request against the primary register before changing anything, and a correction request never affects what we publish about a company.
How we make money
Editorially independent, funded by referral fees. We may be paid when you request a quote from a company listed here. Payment does not decide who is listed or the order they appear in, and we publish no score or star rating.
Full detail of the commercial relationships involved is on our advertising disclosure page. Companies cannot buy a listing, a position in any list, or removal of criticism.
How often we review content
Pricing data is reviewed on the cycle stated in the methodology. Licensing and regulator links are reviewed at least annually, and each page shows the date its data was last confirmed. We never advance a review date because a deployment happened.
