Editorial standards
These standards govern every page on BestMovers.info: where facts come from, who writes and checks them, and what our attribution does and does not claim.

What BestMovers.info publishes
BestMovers.info publishes company profiles, city and state research pages, cost research and relocation guides. Every page is written by a named researcher and checked by a named reviewer before it is published. Both names appear on the page.
A company profile is a record of what public federal and state sources say about a business, plus editorial analysis of that record. It is not an endorsement, a rating awarded by us, or a paid placement.
How facts are sourced
Federal identifiers, operating authority, insurance filings, fleet and safety data come from federal datasets published by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Each figure on a page is dated to the snapshot it came from, because federal records change.
Company details that are not in a federal record, such as founding year or service scope, are taken from the company's own first-party sources and attributed as such. Where a company's own sources disagree with each other, we record the conflict rather than choosing a value.
We do not publish a price, statistic or claim that we cannot attribute to a source. Where no source exists, the page says so.
What an editorial review means
A review is an internal check by a second named member of the team covering accuracy, sourcing, clarity and whether the page's claims match the underlying records. It is completed before publication and repeated when a page is materially updated.
A review is not a government approval, certification, inspection or verification. No member of this team issues, certifies or alters a federal record. A safety rating or licensing status shown on a page is a dated snapshot of a federal file, never an editorial verdict.
Independence and commercial disclosure
Placement, ordering and inclusion on BestMovers.info are not for sale. A company cannot pay to appear, to appear earlier, or to have information removed. Lists of companies on city and state pages are unordered and rotate deterministically; they carry no ranking meaning.
The site earns revenue from moving-quote requests submitted through its forms. That revenue does not influence which companies are profiled or what a profile says.
Updating and dating pages
Directory-wide freshness is stated on the pages that carry it, and factual and historical dates are never rewritten to look newer. When a federal snapshot is refreshed, the snapshot date on the page changes with it.
Corrections
If a page is wrong, we correct it and say so. The process, including how to raise an issue and what we do with it, is set out in the corrections policy.
